Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development and testing of embedded software for comfort controls, zoning controls, and accessories for Residential HVAC systems.
  • Develop and maintain software specifications, drawings, and documentation to support design, development, and production.
  • Assist with system design of communicating HVAC systems.
  •  
  • Education/Experience:
  • MS or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2 - 6 years embedded software development and testing for 8/16 bit microcontrollers experience required.
  • Embedded software experience using the following programming languages required: Assembly, C, and C++.
  • Experience with Object Oriented programming is desired.
  • LabView programming experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls is a plus.
  •  
  • Key Competencies:
  • Communications protocol knowledge and development experience desired.
  • Control system simulation experience using Matlab or other tools is a plus.
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Personal computer competence with software development applications and tools, and MS Office products required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Good interaction skills required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
